Most of Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council's activities are entertainment based, but we also provide a number of other services for the Community.
For a number of years the Council has funded the primary schools swimming programme.
Two allotment sites are provided - off Furzehill Rd and Watling Street.
Street seats and notice boards are maintained around the Parish
Fairway Hall was opened in 1986 - it operates 7 days a week to provide an attractive meeting place for local organisations and activities as well as private functions such as wedding receptions and birthday parties
The Council is consulted on all local planning applications and contributes to a wide range of other consultative reports.
The local Youth Council was set up to ensure the views of young people are heard.
The Councillors maintain an involvement on issues of concern or interest to local residents and servie on a wide range of outside bodies.
The Council currently grant aid the Borehamwood Museum project and a much needed community advice shop.
