Throughout the year, Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council run a number of events which are open to everyone.

Christmas Lights
Since the 1970s the Town Council has provided one of the best Christmas street decoration displays in North London and Hertfordshire.
The Council has bought new decorations in recent years as part of a major renewal programme to ensure a fresh new look to the displays.

Coach Outings
The Council runs a programme of coach outings to various seaside and countryside destinations for qualifying residents aged 60 or over each summer (during June and July). This started in 1988 and continues to be a success.
New destinations are tried each year with up to 900 people taking the opportunity to have an affordable day trip.

Fireworks Night
An annual public fireworks display is held on Guy Fawkes night in Meadow Park, Borehamwood. Each year the event attracts several thousand spectators. The aim is to provide a safe environment so everyone can enjoy this traditional celebration.

Civic Festival
The annual Civic Festival runs for 2 weeks and includes Elstree Proms, Elstree Film Evening, Carnival Parade, Quiz Evening and a Families Day.
