This morning (Monday 9th October 2023) the Israeli flag flies proudly over Fairway Hall
We are horrified, shocked and shaken by the brutality and scale of the terror attacks in Israel over the past two days and the murders of so many in cold blood.
On behalf of Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council we utterly condemn these terrorist atrocities and stand with those who are suffering unimaginable pain and grief.
We also send our love to our dear friends in Shoham - our Twin Town in Central Israel. Mayor Rebecca will be speaking to the Shoham Mayor to offer her solidarity.
We offer our support to the residents of our own town who have been affected both directly and indirectly by these events and who are feeling particularly vulnerable right now.
It is important that we come together as a community to support one another during these challenging times and we pray for a peaceful solution to the conflict.
